Travel Packages

We will pick you up in Hikkaduwa, at the airport or anywhere along the west and south-west coast.

The trip takes you down south where you can visit the Dutch fortress in Galle and the Weherahena Temple with its 39-meter Buddha statue. You then pass through Tangalle and continue on to Tissamaharama, where the first day of the tour ends. Starting from Tissamaharama, you are taken to one of the biggest sacred Hindu sites, the temple complex at Kataragama. Afterwards you set off on a wildlife safari in the Yala National Park.

Next day, you leave Tissamaharama and drive up into the highlands. Here, you visit the “City of Light”, Nuwara Eliya, the highest town in Sri Lanka, visit a tea factory and continue on to the ancient royal city of Kandy, where you spend the second night. In the evening you attend a performance by the Kandy dancers and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

After walking round the botanic gardens in Peradeniya near Kandy, the trip takes you to the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala. Here, you can watch elephants bathing and see the baby elephants being fed. Finally, you are taken back to where you were picked up.

First, you will be taken drive to Dambulla, a complex of cave temples dating back to the 1st century BC. Afterwards, you head to the ancient royal city of Polonnaruwa with its impressive ruins and dagobas. The first day of your trip ends close to Polonnaruwa, in Giritale.

Next day, you climb up the 200 meter Sigiriya rock where you can see the frescoes of the cloud damsels and admire the breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside from the top of the rock fortress. You then continue on the to ancient royal city of Kandy, where you spend the second night. In the evening you attend a performance by the Kandy dancers and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Here, you visit the Dutch fort, the Koneswaram Temple, which is situated on a peninsula, and the seven hot springs at Kanniyai.

On the sixth day, you visit Anuradhapura, the oldest of all the ancient royal cities in Sri Lanka. As well as the 2500-year-old holy Bo Tree, which grew from a branch of the tree under which Buddha sat, there are many temples, dagobas and ancient bathing ponds.

On the last day of your trip, on your way back to the starting point of the tour, you stop off at the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala. Here, you can watch elephants bathing and see the baby elephants being fed.
